Ray city commissioners accepted Commissioner Bill Suhr's resignation during a meeting February 14. 

Suhr's resignation letter, sent as an email, did not give a specific reason for his leaving.

"This email is to inform you that as of 1/15/24, I am resigning my position as a city commissioner for the city of Ray," President Troy Kupper read during the meeting.

Suhr was the only commissioner whose seat was not up for election this summer.
