Grain Palace Festival
The annual
Grain Palace Festival is celebrated the first weekend of every August. The original Grain
Palace was built in 1912 as a place for area farmers to showcase the area's bountiful
grains, and the productiveness of the rich soil. The city itself has been a hub of
agriculture in the vicinity since the early 1900's.
